Our Curriculum
Children in Reception follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. We build on skills acquired in nursery and work towards Early Learning Goals.
The curriculum is broken down into three prime areas of learning
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development
- Communication and Language
And four specific areas of learning
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design

Within Nursery and Reception half termly topics are planned. Each topic is planned to consider the interests of the children and incorporates both play and adult-led activities. Welcome to our Classroom
We love learning in lots of different ways in our classroom and we record this in floorbooks – here are some of the pages from our recent floorbooks.
As we have now developed our ‘classroom community’ using Class Dojo and are finding this a successful means of communication between home and school, this EYFS webpage won’t be updated as regularly as it may have been previously.
We are enjoying using Class Dojo to share children’s successes, homework, general updates and communicate with parents/carers at home, and hope you are finding it as useful as we are.
